From Financial Planning to Growing Raspberries - Making Your Dreams Come True
As a Certified Financial Planner, I always had a hidden desire to start a business – you could call it “a dream in the making”. When I combined my dream with my passion for growing raspberries, the two evolved into “The Very Berry Farm” in 2008.
Certainly, there is something unique about being connected to nature. “Therapeutic” is the term you often hear. For me, it’s true. I do my best planning when I am in this environment. This is the same experience I wish to pass onto my customers. The U-Pick raspberry farm has turned into a seasonal service I provide.
My raspberry patches expand to different varieties. The matured plants include Red Mammoth, Boyne, Thornless and Chief. The Black Raspberry and Fall Gold have been recently planted. One can enjoy fresh-tasting raspberries without all the necessary care that goes with tending to plants.
You will have the opportunity to spend time outdoors and cultivate a nurturing centre for yourself. Most importantly, you have the gift of taking your pickings with you to be savored and shared.
